Coil Cords from Transforming Technologies allow the operator more freedom

Classic Coil Cords from Transforming Technologies are versatile enough to fit most all industry standard banana jacks and wrist straps.  These coil cords come in 6' or 12' lengths and 3 snap sizes: 4mm, 7mm, and 10mm and are available with swivel or right angle banana plugs. Premium Coil Cords from Transforming Technologies feature a unique, flat face snap allows for a universally solid connection to standard wrist bands. A shorter, swivel type banana jack increases coil life, prevents cord tangles and fits most bench grounds. These cords are also available packaged with wrist strap.

Wearing anti-static wrist straps while working on static sensitive electronic devices and systems is a crucial component of standard ESD protection measures. But all anti-static wrist straps must be connected to a functional ground coil cord in order to work properly.

Ground cords do endure some abuse, and normal wear and tear with routine use. Using only polyurethane (PU) for both coil insulation (2.5mm) and molding, ground coil cords from Transforming Technologies have excellent coil memory and flex life. Eventually, however, a frequently used ESD ground cord may malfunction. This can cost your company money in manufacturing losses. You can’t afford to stop production when a ground cord fails. Keep adequate spares in your stores.
